Canada Betting — bookmakers, odds & reviews

Online sports betting in Canada is regulated province by province, not federally. In Ontario, the AGCO and iGaming Ontario oversee the licensed market; every operator listed here holds an iGaming Ontario registration. Outside Ontario, provincial lottery corporations and regulators run their own regimes, so which operator you can legally use — and how — depends on where you live. The minimum age is 19 in most provinces. This hub compares 17 licensed sportsbooks on the things that actually change your experience: price on the markets you bet, how fast Interac withdrawals land, app quality, and features like Cash Out and Bet Builder. Below you'll find who suits which bettor, so you can skip the ones that don't fit.

AGCO and iGaming Ontario regulate online betting in Ontario specifically — not Canada-wide. Other provinces run their own regimes (provincial lottery corporations and regulators), so operator availability and legal status vary by province. Always check what applies where you live.

Best sportsbooks in Canada at a glance

Every operator here is licensed by iGaming Ontario, accepts Interac, has a CAD $10 minimum deposit, and lists withdrawal times of 0–24 hours with iOS and Android apps. The differences show up in pricing, market depth and features.

If you mostly want the keenest prices, Pinnacle and DraftKings stand out on the sampled margin data. If you want the fullest experience — streaming, Bet Builder, market range — bet365 leads.

How the rankings are built

Scores reflect the data we hold per operator across odds, market coverage, sports depth, live capability, Bet Builder, licence safety, payments, withdrawals, app, features and support. Where we have priced-market samples, we also report two hard numbers: average margin (lower is better for you) and best-price share (how often that book offered the top price in the sample).

Those two metrics separate the pack. Pinnacle (3.12% average margin, 221 markets sampled) and the US-style books DraftKings (4.21%, 898 sampled) and FanDuel (4.06%, 306 sampled) price tighter than the European brands in our samples — Betway sat at 6.09%, 888sport at 6.63% and LeoVegas at 6.86%. Best-price share tells a similar story: DraftKings took the top price 54% of the time and Pinnacle 53%, versus 6% for LeoVegas.

Margin data is factual. Whether a tighter margin matters to you is editorial: if you bet volume on mainstream markets, it compounds; if you bet occasionally for entertainment, app quality and Cash Out probably matter more.

Licensing: why your province decides

Canada does not issue a single national betting licence. AGCO and iGaming Ontario regulate online betting in Ontario only. Every operator on this page holds an iGaming Ontario registration, which is what makes them legal to use inside Ontario.

Elsewhere, the rules differ. Provinces such as Alberta and British Columbia operate their own frameworks — often through provincial lottery corporations — and are moving at their own pace. That means an operator legal for an Ontario resident may not be available, or may operate differently, in another province.

What this means in practice:

We verify licence and registration status from operator and regulator data only. We do not open accounts or run deposits and withdrawals, so any timing or fee figures come from published operator information.

Payments and withdrawals

Interac is the backbone of Canadian betting and is accepted by every operator listed. Visa is near-universal too. Beyond that, choices narrow:

All operators here quote a CAD $10 minimum deposit and 0–24 hour withdrawal windows. Withdrawal scores give a sense of consistency at that ceiling: bet365 (8.9), FanDuel (8.7), Betano (8.7) and BetRivers (8.6) rate highest. If speed is your priority, look for the Fast Payout tag — DraftKings, FanDuel, Betano, BetRivers, LeoVegas, PointsBet and Pinnacle all carry it.

For method-first shortlists, see our Interac and Apple Pay pages rather than filtering the full list manually.

Sports and competitions Canadians bet most

The market menus here cover the sports Canadian bettors follow: the NHL for hockey, the NBA and EuroLeague for basketball, the NFL for American football, MLB for baseball, and UFC/MMA. Football (soccer) is well served too, with Serie A, Ligue 1, the Champions League, Europa League, Copa Libertadores and the World Cup.

For depth across these, bet365 (sports depth 9.5), DraftKings (8.9) and FanDuel (8.8) lead. The North American brands — DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, BetRivers, theScore Bet — lean into NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB with Same Game Parlay support, which suits bettors combining legs within a single game. For live in-play, bet365 (9.4), FanDuel and Betano (both 8.5+) score best.

If you follow one sport closely, our sport-specific betting-sites pages narrow the field to the books that price and cover it best.

Which operator fits which bettor

Unibet, 888sport, bwin and LeoVegas round out the licensed field. They are safe, licensed choices, but our sampled margin data (where available) and feature scores place them behind the leaders for value or depth.

FAQ

Is online sports betting legal in Canada?

It's regulated province by province. In Ontario, the AGCO and iGaming Ontario license operators, and every sportsbook on this page holds an iGaming Ontario registration. Other provinces, including Alberta and British Columbia, run their own regimes. Always confirm what applies where you live — an iGaming Ontario registration is not a Canada-wide licence.

What's the minimum age to bet in Canada?

It's 19 in most provinces, including Ontario. Operators verify age and identity as part of registration.

Which betting sites accept Interac in Canada?

All 17 operators listed here accept Interac, alongside Visa. bet365, Betway, Unibet and theScore Bet also list Apple Pay, and Sports Interaction lists InstaDebit. See our Interac betting sites page for a payment-first shortlist.

How fast are withdrawals?

Every operator here quotes a 0–24 hour withdrawal window. Withdrawal consistency scores are highest at bet365, FanDuel, Betano and BetRivers. Books carrying a Fast Payout tag include DraftKings, FanDuel, Betano, BetRivers, LeoVegas, PointsBet and Pinnacle. We report published operator figures; we don't process deposits or withdrawals ourselves.

Which sportsbook has the best odds in Canada?

On our sampled markets, Pinnacle posted the lowest average margin (3.12%) and DraftKings the highest best-price share (54%), with FanDuel also tight at 4.06%. Among European brands sampled, margins were higher — Betway 6.09%, 888sport 6.63%, LeoVegas 6.86%. Lower margins generally mean better value on mainstream markets.

Do these sites offer Bet Builder and Cash Out?

Cash Out is widely available. Bet Builder is listed at bet365, Betway, Unibet, 888sport, Betano and bwin, while DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, BetRivers and theScore Bet offer Same Game Parlay. Pinnacle does not list Bet Builder.
